UNIQLO NYC Nights @ MoMA

MoMA stays open late on the first Friday of every month and admission is free just for New Yorkers! Tickets, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., are free for New York City residents but must be reserved in advance (up to two adults), and are subject to availability and proof of residency.

New York Yankees Schedule

The New York Yankees, 27-Time World Series Champions, and likely the most simultaneously loved and hated team in baseball, return to Yankee Stadium with our Captain, Aaron Judge, pitcher Gerrit Cole and shortstop Anthony Volpe. There are few things in NYC better than a Yankee game, an old-fashioned hot dog and a beer.

Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) Rooftop Open

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Cantor Roof Garden and outdoor café are now closed until 2030 for renovations.

Skyline Views, Art and Cocktails – what more could you want? Every summer, the Met opens the Martini Bar on the Roof Garden Café, an 8,000-square-foot, informal, outdoor setting with breathtaking panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and Central Park.

The 2025 Roof Garden Commission: Jennie C. Jones, Ensemble will was on view April-October and “will explore the sonic potential of stringed instruments as well as their formal possibilities.” On Friday & Saturday Nights, The Met hosts Sun Sets, which celebrates the freedom, inclusivity, and creativity of electronic music culture with a series of rooftop events showcasing the diversity of sounds emanating from the city’s ever-evolving music underground.

Shakespeare in the Park

Delacorte Theater, Central Park

Every year, stars such as Meryl Streep, Al Pacino and James Earl Jones perform modern interpretations of various Shakespeare plays in Central Park at the recently redone 1,800 seat open-air theater and they are attended by over 80,000 people. NYC in August is hot, hot, hot! Many locals are out of town, so the only other people in the city will be visitors and vacationers. You should be fine to dress as cool as possible, but also expect indoor air conditioning.
