Advertising, Affiliates and Sponsorships
Thank you for visiting nycinsiderguide.com (the website). This is my personal site and I am not directly paid by any NYC Tourism Company for writing any of the content on this site. All the content on this site is at my sole discretion and is not influenced by any form of payment.
However, the NYC Insider Guide does make a small commission if you purchase or sign up for some things through our links. This is one of the ways I am able to provide you all the free NYC info on this website. However, the information provided on all my pages is unbiased and accurate to the best of my ability. I do not have links for anything on my site that will require you to pay any additional fees because of my relationship with them. As a matter of fact, many times these relationships save you money!
As an example, there are dozens of places on the NYC Coupons page or Half Price Broadway Tickets page, where I recommend you sign up (FREE) for certain programs, and in turn, you get a discount off your first purchase using my special link. Without being in their affiliate program, I wouldn’t be able to offer you the special discount they only give for referrals. In my mind, this is a win-win situation for us both!
There are other areas of the site where I also receive small commissions if you purchase something. Examples include Sightseeing Passes, Tours, Broadway Tickets, Sports Tickets and Coupon programs. At the time of this writing, there is NO program on this site that charges YOU any premiums because of my affiliate fees.
In some instances, we link to high end ticket brokers for in-demand Broadway Shows, sports and concerts, but we always also provide options for getting lower priced seats. My goal is to offer the same experience to those want in-demand tickets and those on a budget. You’ll notice I post coupon codes whenever I find them. The goal is provide you the most and best information, and if I can make some money doing it, then great! If not, you get the information anyway.
When you click through the NYC Insider Guide links, you are either paying the same amount as if you went to their site directly, or funny enough, sometimes even less. Many times these special links are a win-win for us both, because the companies offer special promotions and discount coupons only for their affiliate partners. I wouldn’t even know to offer you the discounts if I weren’t an affiliate.
So, I could send you directly to their sites, without my affiliate link, and you’d be paying full price, OR use my link – and then you get the discount and NYC Insider Guide makes a commission.
My goal is to deliver you the best, most informative, unbiased content to help you make the most of your NYC visit. I hope this will keep you returning to my site and recommending it to your friends. If you like the NYC Insider Guide, then the most helpful thing to me is if you recommend it, either to friends, or going on any blog/travel site and posting a link there.
“Ads by Google” are not selected by me, so if you see a Google ad and a Web page about the same product or service, it is a coincidence. Yes, I make some pennies when you click on those, but at the same time, I always wonder, “Why didn’t they like what I wrote on that page? Why did they want to go somewhere else?” It’s really a Catch-22, if you think about it…but again, a win-win. I love when you stay on my site and like my content, but on the other hand, if you didn’t find what you wanted, then I’m glad Google provided information that was interesting.
I am here to give you the facts, disclose information and help you make the MOST of your NYC Vacation. There are many pages on this site where I earn nothing if you click the links (except Google advertising if you click on those), but felt it was appropriate to share the information with you. Examples include the Sample Sales, Statue of Liberty Tickets, Subway Maps, Free NYC Tours and Manhattan Maps pages. That information is provided solely for your benefit – because I think it’s good stuff and if I were traveling (which I do often), it’s the kind of information I’d want!
To avoid the appearance of any conflict of interest and in the spirit of full disclosure, I do my best to identify all sponsored content to you. It is highly likely if you are booking a ticket to a holiday event, tour, cruise, show, concert and more, this site will receive some form of compensation. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
Please do support my partners and recommendations. This site takes time and effort to deliver original content, free, to you. Supporting my partners is a WIN-WIN-WIN for you, me, and them.
If you enjoyed this site, and felt it provided you valuable information, then feel free to use these links any time in the future, whether your purchases are related to NYC or not. Every little bit helps and I thank you very much in advance. If you have any questions about this page or the NYC Insider Guide, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
