Summer Streets New York City
Saturdays, August 3, 10 & 17, 2024, 7am to 3pm
The first 3 Saturdays every August from 7am to 3pm, nearly seven miles of NYC’s streets are closed to traffic and opened for people to play, run, walk and bike. You can walk, bike, run and blade directly from Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge along Park Avenue. There’s tons of free activities and exhibits along the way, free exercise classes, food vendors and much more. Summer Streets is a true NYC experience!
There is now Summer Streets in all boroughs – July 27 – Queens and Staten Island; August 24 – Brooklyn and The Bronx.

Annual Central Park Film Festival FREE
Every year in August, Central Park hosts a week of evening film screenings in the landscape just north of Sheep Meadow and south of the 72nd St. Cross Drive. Attending the Central Park Film Festival is free, the gates open at 6:30pm and movies start at 8pm. Make sure to bring your picnic and blanket!

Bryant Park is hosting twenty-six live and in-person music, dance, and theater events produced in partnership with a diverse lineup of New York City’s performing arts institutions. Some featured partners are Carnegie Hall Citywide, The Town Hall, Joe’s Pub, The Classical Theatre of Harlem, American Symphony Orchestra, New York City Opera and many more. All performances are free to the public and designed to be enjoyed casually – no tickets required—with ample seating available and free picnic blankets for audience members to borrow.
