Every February and September, New York Fashion Week leads the fashion world as the first of four major fashion weeks held around the globe.
New York Fashion Week has continues to change and evolve throughout the years. While most of the designer shows used to be held at one main location, they are now spreadout through smaller (and hipper) city venues. Fashion Week has become far less of an event than it had been in the past, so there are much fewer events in NYC.
Here’s a round up of some popular NY Fashion Week events and please feel free to add your event to the NYC Fashion Week Calendar.

Many top-name designers show their collections during fashion week, including Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and dozens of newer and up-and-coming designers. More info: www.mbfashionweek.com
In 2015, Fashion Week left Lincoln Center and now takes place at multiple different locations:

"Hi Melissa, Just downloaded the NYC Printable Guide this week for our family trip this fall. I’m really loving it – the classic attractions but a few new-to-me items as well and I like that you’ve added your own commentary and opinions. Also I think it’s a good mix of family/couples/singles recommendations. Thank you for putting this together – it has helped make my trip planning so much easier!." – Alyssa
Since Fashion Week has moved to several hip locations around the city, there are less "Fashion Week Specials," but far more places where you may see private events or hang with models, designers and fashion editors. Here are some top fashion editor picks:
The Bowery Hotel NYC consistently receives rave reviews and is a top choice for locals when they go on a "staycation." The lobby bar is a hip destination spot (saw Jake Gyllenhaal last time I was there) and the patio has leather club chairs and a fireplace in winter with an outdoor patio for summer.
